Wedding Cakes
Designing the Cake
We realise your wedding cake is an essential part of your perfect day
and it is our job here at Delicious, to make sure you get that perfect
cake. We will work with you to design a cake which is exclusive to
you, incorporating your ideas and thoughts of how you would like your
cake to look.
Food
For Thought
Whether you want a traditional, elegant look or an original creation,
we want your cake to be a talking point at your wedding. It is
essential that we get it right for you. We can design your cake
around any theme
you may have, colour scheme, choice of flowers, stationery, etc.
Out of the Ordinary
These designs are always fun. A lot of people like to share
their experiences and hobbies through their cake, especially
couples
who have been married abroad
and are having a reception back home. Representing a piece of that experience
through their cake is a perfect way to do so. Cartoon style bride and
groom figures always add that personal touch to the cake, and
are sure
to raise a smile. Cakes
which are simple but are unusual colours, such as black, orange or shocking
pink are a great focal point for people to talk about.
Displaying the cake
It is important that your cake looks radiant when it is set
up at your venue. We offer a selection of ways in which you
can have it displayed.
The most popular
is the stacked cake, which is each tier directly stacked on top of
one another. However, there are alternative options, such as
metal stands
that can also be
a focal point of the cake. Also, pillars are making comeback, with
modern and stylish designs now available.
Chocolate Cakes
These are becoming ever more popular and are quite a modern choice
nowadays. You can have a rich chocolate cake which can either be
covered in milk,
white or dark chocolate fondant or the cake can be covered in shavings,
curls or a
rich chocolate fudge ganache. Decoration can also be made out of
chocolate or you can add a piece of tradition to the cake
by adding sugar flowers.
We have had customers in the past who have used this fudge cake
as part of their dessert menu for their meal. This can be done
by decorating
the cake with fresh
fruit and berries.
A chocolate cake can also have mixed flavourings and fillings,
as is the case with a traditional white iced cake. Instead of having
a rich
fudge
flavouring,
you can have lemon, Baileys Irish cream, chocolate orange or raspberry
which is particularly good with white chocolate covering.
And Finally
The choice of designs and flavourings is endless and we here
at Delicious will do our very best to give you advice and information
to make the
cake of your
dreams. The more creative, the better. We like that !
